Yohan Colin was born on the 21st of September of 1983, he discovered the art of photography some years ago. Passion came easily, projects are set up, contacts are becoming larger. Naturally inspired by what is around him, Yohan takes pictures with a lot of spirit as well surf as skate, portraits or moods that are proper to him. After his first exhibition organized around the shaper Daniel's Longboard, Yohan created his own corporation of photographic production; with atmosphere often embellished of saturated colors, of black and white, of grain and soft focus.
Real pioneer in France of surf and waves pictures, Sylvain Cazenave set up the foot of his telephoto lens in the sand of all the beaches on hearth. He stayed the first years of his life in Africa, then in the 60's he set up his self in Biarritz with his family and discovered the joy of surf. During his teenage, he took part of the French surf team. Fast, he became passionate of photography carrying on his study of economics-sciences and English at Bordeaux University. In 1976, he has been to Tahiti and had a real revelation. He decided to consecrate his life to ocean and to go through the world looking for the most beautiful wave. His trips will bring him with his cases and lenses Nikon all over the world: Australia, California, Fiji, New-Zeeland and of course Hawaii... now a day, these magic places have no more secret for him. Since 1990, Sylvain Cazenave is membership of honor of the Surfrider Foundation, an association which has as function to protect ocean, waves and seashore.His photos are published in the greatest magazine such as: Paris-Match, Surf Session, le Figaro Magazine, Madame Figaro, Vogue, Elle, L'Equipe, Sports Illustrated, Surfer Journal... and works for surf wear brands such as: Quiksilver, Oxbow, Roxy, Rip Curl, Bic, Neil Pryde...for their promotional campaigns. Finally, the Corbis agency shares out his photos all over the world.
Franck Laharrague asks himself about representation of the world through photography. Portrait painter at his beginning, he received a lot of prize of which the famous "Portrait painter of France" awarded by the GNPP in 1992. He also illustrates itself with "portrait of surfers", a socio-photographic stroll, in collaboration with the sociologist Bénédicte Delataulade.Pierre Laharrague, his father transmits to him the "photographic gene" but he also inherits it from his great-grand-father Etienne who created in 1906 the first photo studio of the Pays Basque. The land that saw him born and of which he's really attached.
Franck Laharrague is definitivly photographer. The quality of his images reveals it. But he's also a plastic artist that uses image fixed or animated to reveal space and to question the world. His first material is the sphere as symbol of gaïa. This evocation of hearth with mythological aspects, that we can found in the works of the Greek poet Hesiod, but also of noosphere, this thinking sphere present next to the biosphere.Beyond a simple visual game, Franck Laharrague round photography's set up in the heart of the town open fresh look and infinite imaginaries, they invite to restart our desire of landscapes however already saw a million of time, of places daily known. Round pictures that are at the same time memory of a place and poetic metamorphose.Thus, have been draw in 2009, the set up of a photosphere in Biarritz, in Paris and in Tel Aviv. He also works with the Pinceton University for an interactive sphere reacting to the global events. A Project that would see the light in 2012.

Born in Athens, Taki Bibelas grew up in Canada before earning a diploma in communication and sociology and moving to Paris, where he devoted himself to his art. He took his first steps in photo journalism and very quickly focused on fashion photography and portraits. Superposition of images, light and shadow plays, he handles the colour palette with singular skill. He works, among others, with Vogue, Marie Claire, Stiletto, Vanity Fair, Oyster, GQ, Playboy, Jalouse and Elle, and produces advertising campaigns for the likes of Trussardi Jeans.His work has been exposed on several occasions: at the Thierry Marlat gallery in Paris (Glow in the Dark, June 2000), the Musée de Guéthary (collection of images, 2003), the Alain Le Gaillard gallery in Paris (Heteroclito, December 2003), the Georges Pompidou Centre (Red Death, 2004), the Caprender Gallery in London (Summer Exhibition, September 2005), the Dulap gallery in Lausanne (March 2006) and the Woah gallery in Frankfurt (June 2008)... Taki loves the Basque Country, where he lives part of the year to surf, and devotes much of his time to making surfing films and portraits of surfers. It is this part of his prolific output that he'll be coming to exhibit at the Roxy Jam Biarritz.

Lorène Carpentier was born 30 years ago in Bordeaux, she grows up in the south-west of France and in Paris, then she gets installed in her hometown at 20 years old.Found of photo since her teenage, she chooses after having worked during five years as a nurse to let more place to her passion, becoming a professional photographer.The work of this photographer is exclusively, and some people will say obsessively, targeted on water, "a life element, perfection on hearth" of which contemplation is a spiritual food. "To found what inspired me in who breathe. To be as near as possible of what is stranger to me. A pretty trigger opened up my eyes"
